Job Summary

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to individuals in residential care homes, nursing homes, supported living services, hospitals and community care settings.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will support individuals with their daily living activities, promote independence, maintain dignity and ensure the highest standards of person-centred care. You will work closely with nurses, senior carers and other healthcare professionals to help deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.

Previous care experience is desirable but not always essential, as full training may be provided for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care and support.
Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and transferring using appropriate equipment where required.
Assist with eating, drinking and nutrition.
Monitor and record observations where appropriate.
Support individuals with medication administration (where trained and authorised).
Promote independence and encourage participation in daily activities.
Provide emotional support and companionship.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
Report concerns regarding safeguarding, health or wellbeing promptly.
Comply with all health and safety policies and organisational procedures.
Essential Requirements
Compassionate and caring attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Right to work in the UK.
Willingness to complete mandatory training.
Flexibility to work various shift patterns.
Desirable Requirements
Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker.
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Manual Handling training.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
Medication administration experience.
Moving and Handling training.
Care Certificate.
Enhanced DBS (if applicable).
